Guidance on Options for Filling Resource Needs

A new customer guide, Options for Filling Resource Needs is now provided on Procurement’s Customer Guides web page for your use.

This Procurement guide is designed to help you understand the various options for bringing a resource into your organization such as:

  • Who will handle your request – Procurement or Human Resources
    • For options that involve Human Resources – you will be directed to Human Resources websites
    • For Procurement:
      • How the request will be processed
      • Forms that will be needed
      • Key considerations and limitations

This guide addresses the following types of resource needs:

  • Temporary Staff to Conduct Staff Work (Contract Labor)
  • Consultants (Individuals Performing Advisory and Assistance Services)
  • Non-Consulting (Scope of Work/Specific Task(s) that need to be accomplished that do not involve Advisory and Assistance Services)
  • Employee Hire
  • Rehired Retiree
